Be Kind to All Kinds
Who I am
The Vegan Craftswoman is my tiny drip against the mountain of consumerism, factory farming, suffering, cruelty, and efficiency. The world has optimized and abstracted away the processes that are central to our survival - clothes, food, shelter. Instead of being a world full of artistic, mindful craftsmanship, it is a world full of fast fashion, meat and milk made from horiffic animal suffering, particle board furniture, and massive landfills. Humans and animals are exploited daily for their bodies and labor, and we let our ignorance act as a bolster for our choices.
The Vegan Craftswoman is a place where I can live by my values and share my journey, my mistakes, and my dreams. On this site, your data will never be taken and given to advertisers. I won’t use this as a place to direct more business to giant marketplaces through affiliate programs and link trees. All I ask is that you support local, buy secondhand if you can, and remember that your small actions can create change in the world.
Not everyone has the time to learn to make things themselves. If you do, and you want inspiration, a friend on your journey, or a place to read about a self-taught, imperfect craftsperson, I invite you to stay awhile!
